Individual Counselling

ASCEND provides counselling for adults and adolescents navigating relationship challenges, family conflict, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and significant life transitions.

Many clients come to counselling when stress has become a constant presence, relationships feel increasingly difficult to navigate, or they find themselves second-guessing decisions and struggling to trust their own judgment. Counselling provides a supportive space to better understand what is happening, strengthen coping strategies, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and self-trust.

Secure online counselling is available throughout British Columbia.

In-person services are planned for the Vancouver area.

Complimentary Consultation (45 minutes)

Standard Session (50 minutes) — $115 CAD

Extended Session (80 minutes) — $170 CAD

*Recommended for initial sessions or periods requiring more in-depth support.

Sessions take place through secure video conferencing. Our first conversation focuses on understanding what has brought you to counselling, identifying your goals, and establishing a pace that feels comfortable and supportive.

There is no expectation to share more than feels right for you. We begin where you are and work collaboratively toward greater clarity, emotional steadiness, and resilience.

What You Can Expect From Counselling

If stress has become constant, or you've started second-guessing decisions you once made easily, counselling can help.

Our sessions are collaborative, respectful, and paced according to your needs. The focus is not on being told what to do, but on creating the conditions that allow you to think more clearly, better understand your experiences, and make decisions that feel aligned with your values. Mostly, it looks like having someone steady beside you while you make sense of things.

Our work may include:

• developing emotional regulation and coping strategies

• understanding recurring patterns in relationships and life circumstances

• exploring sources of stress, conflict, or uncertainty

• strengthening self-awareness and self-compassion

• rebuilding confidence and trust in your own judgment

• identifying practical steps toward meaningful change

Many clients find that as emotional overwhelm decreases, clarity, confidence, and resilience begin to emerge more naturally.

Services are provided under clinical supervision in accordance with BC regulatory standards and ethical guidelines.

Receipts are provided for extended health insurance reimbursement where applicable. Clients are encouraged to confirm coverage eligibility with their benefits provider, as reimbursement depends on individual plan terms and provider designation requirements.

Areas of Focus

While I work with a range of concerns, several themes appear frequently in my practice and continue to shape my professional interests.

Relationship Challenges & Family Conflict

Many clients seek counselling when important relationships have become increasingly difficult to navigate. Counselling can provide space to better understand patterns, strengthen communication, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Rebuilding Self-Trust After Difficult Relationships

Periods of prolonged stress, conflict, betrayal, or emotional confusion can gradually erode confidence in one's own judgment. A significant part of my work involves helping individuals reconnect with their own values, perceptions, and decision-making abilities.

High-Conflict Separation & Co-Parenting Challenges

Separation and ongoing conflict can create considerable emotional strain and uncertainty. I have a particular interest in supporting individuals navigating these transitions while maintaining emotional stability and resilience.

Betrayal Trauma & Infidelity Recovery

The discovery of infidelity or significant breaches of trust can affect confidence, identity, and emotional wellbeing. Counselling can help create steadiness and clarity while individuals navigate difficult decisions and next steps.

Coercive Control & Post-Separation Challenges

Some clients have experienced relationship dynamics characterized by chronic conflict, control, confusion, or ongoing stress. My approach focuses on helping individuals better understand these experiences, strengthen boundaries, and rebuild confidence in themselves and their choices.

Neurodivergent Parenting & Family Stress

I also have a particular interest in supporting parents navigating the demands of caregiving, advocacy, educational systems, and family life when neurodivergence is part of the picture.
